Mounting Feeder to Feed Container

Spinpro feeders can be mounted to any size container from a 5-gallon plastic pail to a 55-gallon steel drum. If mounting the feeder to a large container, MAKE SURE you have a safe and secure means to hoist and hold the feed container in place. Each gallon of shelled corn weighs app. 6-1/2 pounds, so a full 55-gallon drum will weigh about 400 pounds. To mount the feeder to the feed container, simply follow these four steps:

Place the template supplied with the instruction in the center of the feed container.

Drill four (4) mounting holes as shown on the template using a 3/16" or 7/32" drill. The larger 7/32" holes allow for some error in alignment between holes.

Drill a 2-1/2" to 3" hole in the center of the container as shown on the template.

Secure the feeder to the feed container using the four #10-32 screws and lock nuts provided. It may take two people to tighten these screws if a large container is used.
